drove me mad I couldn't remember the name of the song. go figure. had to look it up. wikipedia had the thing , but just needed google to point that out. Compared to todays video's...they could spend a million and it wouldn't look it. But still fun to watch even with the added boobs :P reminds me of a oh hell forgot their name but they made unique but depressing videos (think it's Tool can't remember) but the uncensored vids are just fine. Although out of everyone I'd love to see Peter Gabriel live. walking upside down musta been strange.. somewhere between loosing track of him in the 90's and a few years ago he lost most of his hair. Only band out there that makes fun to watch videos is Poets of the Fall which except for Finland most probably haven't heard of. (or you happened to run into it either on Max Payne 2 or the end of one of the 3D Mark demo's. which is what I did)

one of the last few albums I got from yourmusic*com (what used to be BMG Music Club) before they went under in late June.. was Duran Duran's greatest hits. So yes lots of good songs. Reflex would be another. I was primarily banned from MTV at the time. :P Especially after Madonna showed up. I was about 6 when cable showed up in 81. So I was heavily into music up until the RIAA decided it wanted to force people to listen to bad music. Listen to mostly indie and out of the country music. ie import the albums if I like them enough. Germany, Israel, Finland etc.

Heart is awesome.. Even some of their gay 80's music was good. I'm surprised that more people aren't giving them the credit that they deserve. Dreamboad Annie was a great album.


I'm glad that I'm not the only one that voted for the freakshow of this round, Paul from The Wonder Years (I wonder if anyone remembers that urban legend)... I don't agree with his lifestyle, but I like the music. You've got to give the guy some credit too, he makes some damn good music for strippers to dance to.


I've got to vote for the only southern rock band on the list. It helps that their music good stuff.


I've been a fan of the Chili Peppers since I saw them as a kid in the 80's. I wish I could get paid to have fun like it looks like they're doing in this video


Fifth vote this week is for Corporate Avenger. They've got some pretty strong messages in their music. It kind of gets you pumped up to go and break some stuff.


Out of principle, I can't give a vote to GNR even though I like some of their early music. One album worth of music doesn't quite do it for me (unless they've only put out one or two albums). I hate leaving out John Lee Hooker and Pat Benatar but not voting for all the bands that you like is inevitable in these polls.

If you only want to cast 1 vote then do so. There has been a few times when I've only casted 2 or 3 because the rest of the field sucked.

But its a sad thing that Guns N Roses leads this talented packed field. If it weren't for the song November Rain and the movie T2, I'd never of heard of them.

actually considering the drummer kinda dismayed about it, rather marilyn manson lean simply because he's not a jerk like Axl is. albeit this is October why isn't Rob Zombie in there :P boo. or will you save that for halloween oh this is bands. okay White Zombie , maybe a stage show bands only. like Rob Zombie Alice cooper, Gwar? ie guys who play an act during the show. Rob's a Zombie and Alice gets his head removed...

Alice Cooper is getting voted on in week 15 and Rob Zombie is week 16. I would suspect Gwar isn't getting their chance here because they're not really in a class with everyone else. They are a niche band. They're pretty entertaining though. I'd advise wearing throw away clothes if you go to one of their shows and want to get close to the front. Enjoy some Gwar:
