![]() Yeah
I've watched some proper women wrestling matches ( non wwe) and I still couldn't get into it. Doesn't really matter though. Different strokes for different folks and all that. |

![]() At least TNA has given the ladies some good screen time, storylines and matches over the last few years. Some stinkers too but in general TNA lady wrestlers and storylines are better.

![]() I always liked Barrett. Let's just hope that Vince has the balls to move him up through the ranks and give him a shot at the World Title. It doesn't seem like that happens much anymore. He deserved a legitimate shot when he was in the Nexus but they dropped the ball on that.
It just seems more and more that the WWE purposefully sabotages talented wrestlers. I'll never get that. Ziggler should've been WWE Champ a year and a half ago. And speaking of which, he's just now stepping up to the plate, but that doesn't change the fact that he's had a terrible year. What gives? And what about Cody Rhodes? Oh, and Evan Bourne. These are two guys that could carry the company, and yet Creative has no clue what to do with them. I haven't even seen Bourne in like six months. Kofi could go places too if they'll electroshock his character a little bit. I'd love to see this guy act like a true asshole. Not a heel like R-Truth who talks about Little Jimmy, but I want people to truly despise him. That would be amazing. Obviously he's going nowhere as a face, so why not? |

![]() Barrett is awesome. I too hope this run leads somewhere. He has it all. He can wrestle, he can talk and he is British. I still think back to Summerslam 2010 and the 7v7 elimination match. WWE and their fucking happy endings. Made a whole joke out of Nexus. Not that they weren't already a joke with the booking.

I agree on Kofi Kingston. He has never been a heel in WWE, at least I don't think he has . I'm not sure how far he could go, but they should at least try it out. I guess he must be popular with some fans so they are content to keep him where he is. Thing is, with how it is today. I don't despise anybody. That is the problem. I think Tensai sucks, I think Santino sucks, I think Hornswoggle sucks, I think he sucks, he sucks and he sucks, but I don't really hate anybody. I'd like to see Cody get a real push on his own, in the old days you would say a 200+ day ic title run was a real push, but not today, since he rarely defended it. He seemed to be on his way when he was feuding with Randy Orton. He survived at survivor series as well, but shortly after that he went on a losing streak. Started treading water and is now teaming with Damien Sandow. |

![]() I believe that Kofi as a Heel would work if he was an Anti-American Jamaican character.

![]() Kofi is actually from West Africa. Just because he's black, though, his wrestling ring name is Jamaican. Vinnie isn't quite over the black stereotypes just yet. Fuck marketing to demographics. Creating a racist character like Kofi Kingston to attract black people is no different than Seth McFarlane coming up with "The Cleveland Show". It just exploits a lack of understanding. Race shouldn't be a factor these days. Create one product. Make characters with depth, but focus on what motivates them as individuals and don't do it to appeal to specific races. R-Truth and Kofi Kingston are just racist prototypes when they could be so much more. If you're not gangster, you're Jamaican. That's the way it is in the wrestling business.
I mean, Alan, how do you feel about Hornswoggle? Does part of the fact that you think he sucks have to do with the fact that it's an Irish stereotype? Sheamus took more of a Celtic Warrior gimmick, which is admirable, but don't you just cringe every time Cole is talking about the Irish streetfights he got into? It's all pretty ridiculous. I'm sure it's a lot like the way I cringe when a Chicago streetfight is mentioned. Let me tell you something about Chicago-- they don't have streetfights there, they have drive-bys. And when I was in Belfast, I can't say I ever saw a group of guys having a PVC pipe battle. ![]() |

![]() I do see where you're coming from and I do agree with you. You're spot on.
you will have to ask somebody from Dublin/Southern Ireland how they feel about The Celtic Warrior or Hornswoggle. We are British up here ![]() What I will say is I doubt many people in Ireland get bullied for having red hair and pale skin ![]() |

![]() While I can agree with your sentiments the WWE does what they do to put asses in the seats and people buying the PPVs and merchandise. Smarks (like most of us here) love heels and it shows with all the folks here that love Punk.
The vast majority of WWE money comes from families not smarks. Those folks cheer faces and not heels so much. Face merchandise outsells heel by a huge margin. This is why they won't turn Cena heel either (unless a bigger face comes along to take his place and thats not on the horizon). |
