Speaking of theme songs, I just remembered the Jericho podcast yesterday. Before interviewing Chris Nowinski about concussions and all the scary and informative stuff with that, he read lyrics for some wrestler theme songs, including his own. Once you read them, you realize that they're pretty stupid. Jericho never knew the lyrics to his song.

Then he read Billy Gunn's theme.

Billy Gunn loves anal sex, gender doesn't matter.

Then Zack Ryder's theme.

Sounds pathetic, like Ryder most of the time.

Shawn Michaels' theme song sounded timeless and never came across as bad. Ridiculous to an extent though because it still plays for a guy who's now late into his 40s. Sexy boy?

While this doesn't pertain to WWE, one of my favorite theme songs of recent times was AJ Styles' one from last year. The lyrics and music fit AJ's character at the time, but unfortunately only fit and lasted for less than 4 months.


Anyways, a Reddit user wanted his bedroom decorated into a WWF arena, and this is what he got. Looks cool.

Tajiri and Rhyno vs Rey and Benoit is playing on best of smackdown. I'm watching because the Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle iron man match is coming on.

Straight from the horse's mouth, Sting wants a match against the Undertaker.


It brings back to mind that he could appear after Undertaker beats Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30, and they stare down. Undertaker looking up, Sting from the rafters looking down. Then on RAW, he issues the challenge to Undertaker a year in advance.

Jim Ross commented on the battle royal, in an interesting way.

*cough* Zack Ryder. Without his last rezort thing, I think he would've been still in the battle royal, assuming he becomes filler there.

Also Jericho's book's name and cover is revealed, it's hitting shelves in October 13.


In the podcast, answering a phone question, he said the Shawn Michaels feud will be a major part of the book. YES!

Also Steve Austin gave a tour of his trailer, and WWE's Youtube channel hosted it.

You know me 7, that looks like a decent dvd. I feel excited, it better not be shit. Is it a Johnston interview DVD with a tracks cd or is it all together? Cover is gay as fuck. If I bought it first thing I would do is chuck that cover out. Maybe burn it depending how I feel at the time. Some of those tracks I don't care for namely Rey, Brodus, Fandango, Sunny and tbh Orton's theme bugs me as well.

Mr ass picks ass? OK, that's a disturbing lyric. I've noticed they've put it in the extras. Oh joy.

That concussion pod was pretty interesting. I've had a concussion, I remember seeing stars, one of those wtf moments when it's over. I've also had a football blasted full pelt into my abdomen and it's a lot worse. Hunched over struggling for breath is not good.

it will be worth a watch. I like most of them. I pretty much agree with tunes you don't like.

I preferred the sable theme with the cat > sunny. it sounded cool. Fandango was the worldwide phenomenon (according to Cole) to be fair when I went after Wrestlemania a lot of drunks were doing it in the toilets. When I went again in November there was none of it.now that was a fad.

I can't picture Orton with anything else now even though I thought his old theme was better. times like this is when the theme song is more important. his old theme wouldn't go with the viper character, or whatever Orton is these days. I'd start using the old theme again, give him some of that youthful energy and he rkos and punts the authority. it is a dream. I'm sure everybody would like to see that.

Sting wants one match. I can see him coming out on Raw after Wrestlemaniia and making a challenge. sounds like a good idea. Have that great post mania Raw thing. I'm just wondering. is he going to show up, challenge and then disappear? I'm sure they can keep his name out there with a dvd or something. fuck it, they should do the nwo thing, have sting turn up every once in a while and start laying people out with scorpion deathdrops before fucking off again. yeah baby. lets go all 1997 haha. Nah, lets don't. That could never work with The Hunter mafia.

Just thinking about the name Undertaker vs Sting. It is a big deal. I'm sure I can suspend disbelief. I hope he has signed now.

I would add Kurt Angle's theme to the list and replace Randy's new theme with his old theme. Interesting article I read today on Cracked - 5 Behind-the-Scenes Facts I Learned as a Pro Wrestler.

The article quoted a nice compilation of wrestlers talking and calling spots during matches.

I just came back from the seemingly weekly road trip. I did more training than advancing in the Pokemon Ruby game, my party of 6 didn't turn out well against the 3rd Gym leader. I needed a backup fighting pokemon to Christian since the gym leader has two half steel pokemon in Magnemite and Magneton. I caught a Makuhita and nicknamed it Yokozuna. Pretty easy there.

Fun fact: there's a tiny town in Pennsylvania called Belfast, I saw a highway exit sign on the way home showing that.

I've seen that compilation before, you could seriously fill over 15 minutes of just John Cena talking in the ring. Most of the stuff said in that article are things I've heard and read before, with some vintage Cracked comedy bits, still was a nice read. The improv thing is a bit new, but in reading the quoted report on that, it only applies to developmental, because everyone would've noticed a less scripted main roster product by the now (the news report's from last year). NXT does feel like a less restrained, easier flowing program, and it's no coincidence that Vince is hands off with that project, and HHH is all aboard. Perhaps that explains Bray Wyatt being a gem, because of NXT.
