![]() The History of WWE Timeline ( Finlay talks 2006)
Last edited by Alan Kellerman; 29th August 2012 at 05:01.
Don't know if any of you have watched these timeline dvds before, but I saw this and thought I'd put it up. I haven't watched it, but basically it is whoever talking about that year in WWE. No wrestling, just talking. ![]() Code:

![]() My thoughts on Raw.
CM Punk vs. Jerry Lawler First of all, I'm sick to death of Jerry Lawler. He's a wrestling elitist, and Punk was right about him being the master of propaganda (I like how he put that). Of course, Michael Cole is no different. Lawler gushes for the faces for no apparent reason, and Cole does the same for heels. It's been some time since Lawler and Cole had their riff, but it feels like it's far too soon being that we have suffered far too many has-beens in this company as of late. Lawler happens to be even more of self-righteous prick off the mic, and I can't stand seeing him on it. So, having him face the champ? I don't get that. It put Punk in the main-event (for once) but that just tells me that there is nobody he can face other than Cena (a match that I'm sick of seeing) and they're unwilling to give younger talent a boost. The WWE keeps digging themselves further in the pit. Bring in some more FCW guys, do some trades with NJPW-- whatever. I'm just sick of seeing the same feuds and the same match every week. AJ Lee She didn't do much on this episode other than jump Vickie (which I loved), but she deserves her own category. I thought she was somewhat cute when she first started getting some spotlight, but now I'm infatuated with her. She's the highlight of Raw every week for me. God, I love short and crazy chicks. Anger Management I've got to agree with Alan on this one-- I generally hate skits like this, but this was actually pretty funny. Bryan and Kane did a great job. Kane was getting to the point of being very lackluster, but seeing him in an outside environment just sheds a whole new light on him. His achievements are spread apart so much that they aren't that shocking individually, but I thought that it was funny as hell when he named them consecutively and freaked everyone out. Overall, this is starting to be an awesome weekly thing. The Retirement of HHH About damn time. Sorry guys, I'm just finding so much wrong with this company at the moment. I've always been a big Punk mark, and he's great as a heel (and despite what you say, he's pulling it off-- it doesn't matter if he's being cheered, that just means he has charisma), but right now there is no one for him to face. This company will either putter along with minimal highlights, or it needs a radical change, because I'm hating it right now. The only reason I watch is for the same reason we all do even though we know better-- I'm just waiting for the day when we get what we payed for. Not cool, man. Insult Cena all you want, he's a public figure, but don't insult people with disabilities that they didn't choose. |

![]() Cage match? "Uh, that's a big negative. Over."
It should always be a NO DQ. Then there are no rules! ANYTHING GOES! |

![]() I haven't been around much...busy, busy, busy...and I didn't get to watch all of RAW this week, but what I did see I enjoyed. The cage match between Lawler and Punk had a much more old school feeling than I've seen in a cage match in a good long while, with Punk getting busted open on the cage the hard way. Now I'm sure alot of fans who still cum in their shorts over the thought of the now dead Attitude Era had a collective nergasm when they saw Punk bleeding, but take it easy kids...it wasn't a gusher. Nothing in the legendary Shawn Michaels' style gushers.
And while I didn't get to see it live, I did check it out on Youtube...the Anger Management segment. Pure gold and what made it even better is that Kane stole the whole segment. Vintage!! |

It is obviously going to be hard to get us interested when he is facing a 60+ year old man. I'm not taking anything away from Jerry Lawler, he didn't embarrass himself or anything. It's just nobody gives a shit. |

![]() I had read about Rey Mysterio wanting a tag team match with him and Manny Pacquiao vs. Del Rio and Mayweather.
